We have been doing installs of these (24ghz models) around suburban melbourne in the last few months, and have had reasonable success around the 1KM distance. Great for campus and companies with warehouses down the road, across the suburb. 

But like someone else mentioned we have done the bulk of our work with the Airmax Rockets to get 50-100Mbps at 3-30KM's. 

Really neat equipment, and fairly disruptive price point too.
