[AusNOG] IP Adddress/BGP AS/Site management tools

+1 for phpIPAM, we are currently trialling it and I have our entire IPv6 deployment details in it now, it works great.

If we end up using it I’m planning on trying to get some DHCP / DNS integration (BIND / DHCPD) into it as well. The dev is actively fixing bugs, I submitted a few layout / data reporting problems and they were fixed for us.

It has the capability to load from AS info too, but only from RIPE atm.

If you have some PHP skills, a submission / code snippet to load from other sources would be good to have and the dev may well appreciate the contribution.

Thanks,
Ayden Beeson

Depending what you’re looking for, phpIPAM might be a candidate. It’s not perfect but does most of what you described.

Thanks,

Hi all,

I hope you’re all having a nice week.

Do any of you know of, or have any recommendations of a tool/piece of software that can do the following?

- IPv4 address and subnet management

- IPv6 address and subnet management

- BGP AS management

- Site details (site contact, phone number, address etc)

- Display site diagrams

I’m looking for something to be a kind of one stop shop for our company’s sites. Eg, Navigate to site XXX and it takes you to a page or dataset showing site details which includes site address, town etc, IPv4 and IPv6 subnets and BGP ASN’s, carrier service numbers etc..

I’m also looking to manage our IPv4 and IPv6 address space to ensure no overlaps between sites.. same for BGP ASNs.

I seem to be able to find plenty of address management tools, but nothing that encompasses the above requirements.

If any of you have any ideas or experience of something that maybe able to help (be it free or not, doesn’t matter), I’d be very thankful.

If you would like to send directly to me, I’ll summarise to the list afterwards.

Thanks,

Hi Brad
There are some decent open source tools out there like Gestioip for IP management and perhaps NOC for the bigger picture.
