[AusNOG] APNIC Slashes Costs for New Members

Let's think a little of the benefits, rather than just the negatives.
The Internet is still developing in many parts of the AP region. Per capita there are many countries that have much less address space than those that arrived at the IP trough earlier. This is then coupled with a lower ability to pay the costs involved to get address space.
Lowering the cost was seen as a positive for the Internet and Internet users in general across the region.
