Oh please. Putting bits to air is the easy part.
The design challenges with radio aren't the bandwidth. They are all the
other factors: loss, robustness, multipath, fading, hidden transcievers,
resilience to interference, channel density, etc, etc. These don't have
simple numbers attached but are more important in being able to actually
use the bandwidth.
Quigley is gone because the NBNCo board are positioning NBNCo for the
possibility of a Liberal-lead federal government. He is the CEO of the
poster-child project of the current Labor government. That fact alone
explains his departure -- his performance or otherwise, NBN's merits or
otherwise, they are irrelevant.
