Slight oxymoron, but there seems to have been more traffic about the mail than the mail

Personally I don't really care if there is or if there isn't a list for employment
But at least the guy is trying to find employment rather than shoot him down before he starts is rather unaustralian!

I'm guessing that there is also a huge difference in someone offering a job to those looking for work

AFAIK classifieds was the only other list setup. Personally I'm not sure whether job/employment postings should be on "classifieds" or the main list. I would tend to say on the classifieds list as they are kind of buying/selling something and not really that much to do with network operations (which is what the main list is about, isn't it ?). It's kind of hard though, because what do you do then with announcements of "industry events" which again could probably be classed as "buying or selling something" (assuming there is an entry fee), but people may more tolerant of these being posted on the main list as there tend to be less of them ?
I'm guessing/hoping the mods will step in if the main list starts to resemble "seek" too much ;)

Gday Noggers,
I know this seems a bit odd, and not what this mailing list was designed for, But would get the best exposure to the industry,
I was wondering if anybody based around SouthEast Melbourne or Melbourne CBD was looking at hiring an individual to join their team in the networking industry?
Looking for a junior based network/system administrator based roles
Please reply off-list if interested or require any further information
Regards
D.
