[AusNOG] MegaPort Is Live with a free trial. Thoughts?

Hey Skeeve,

There will be a refresh of the website www.megaport.com by COB Monday. But
there seems a little bit of confusion/inconsistency so to clarify:

* We have installed MLX-16s in each city with only 10G/100G interfaces
* Costs per 10G-IX are less than anywhere else
* Major content guys will not only be presenting in Sydney, but also
Brisbane and Melbourne
* Fairly significant rollout happening to other DC's in Brisbane and
Melbourne over next 120 days
Trial Participants
* 6 months free Megaport-IX
* Megaport will cover monthly cross connect fee for the trail period
* 10G port minimum
* After trail period, you can cancel service at no additional cost
* Only available until July 31 for existing DC's on net (and will be
available to other DC's for 30 days as they get "lit")
Clarification only and please respond off-list to comply with charter.

Cheers

They certainly look very interesting.

I've read the website... I need to understand how it works a bit more though
with the v products...

The pricing looks good.. and it would be the only Peering offering 100Gb
interfaces....

I certainly will be investigating more... It would be nice if they had a
public list of peers and sent updates... Once some of the big content
providers are on board, I am sure that will motivate some people... but the
interesting features also will be a motivator.
