[AusNOG] 12V Gigabit Switch suggestions

Hey all thanks for the suggestions.... We are looking into a couple of different devices will probably try a few.

Even the 48V ones as we have a couple of 12 to 48v converters.

Will provide an update on what we find.

They are DC - but not sure if 12V


They will be 48V DC for use in Telecom exchanges etc. If you have 4 12V batteries you could just wire them up in series to solve that problem.

Can you have two sets of circuits going though a set of batteries? parallel for charging by the 12V solar panels and series to push out 48V? My knowledge of DC circuits and batteries stopped in year 10 physics.
