Dear Matthew,

Thanks for your feedback with reference to Equal logic PS, interesting that it supports SAN to SAN replication. With reference to capacity we can run either DWDM 1gb or 10gbit layer 2 or layer 3 we are just working out where to place the second unit, in our second facility or 65km away in the city which really is just an optic choice i.e. ZR vs SR

I've had a lot of people recommending net App also and a few others which ill contact tomorrow ! the research beings...

Kindest Regards

James Braunegg

James,
We use Equallogic PS series arrays with 10gbe and replicate SAN to SAN intra site. We also replicate inter site over 1gig, but there is no reason you couldn't do it over 10gbe layer 2 or 3 if you you have the link capacity. It's a great setup with continuous asynchronous replication.

Cheers,

Matt
