There are products in the market place, and deployed in operational
networks (not necessarily in Australia) that can provide this level of
reporting. However it's usually done with DPI/'bump-in-the-wire' type
technology rather than whatever this particular approach is.
I have seen operators provide this information in the past to end
customers, based on traffic seen at the GGSN/PDSN, to indicate where the
traffic was going to/from.
