Impressive picture, it reminds me of something from Vijay Gill's
presentation at the conference a few years back. Overhead fibre run
through remote snow-filled regions to ambiently-cooled datacentres.
Apparently the biggest problem with the fibre was that rednecks would
shoot at it, to which the response was a three-day cross-country ski to
repair it.
And I thought my office got cold in winter..
