It's for this very reason that I talk people out of captive portals.
With the advent of the iDevice, where the browser plays a comparatively
small role when compared with native apps, having to arbitrarily launch
a browser first creates support nightmares.

I recommend my clients have T&C's printed on thin pieces of dead tree
available for perusal with all the other T&C's sitting in the flyer
holder on the reception desk. If dead tree legally works for everything
else, why not the hotspot too? (Obviously that's a rhetorical question.)
