One big one, NAT444 isn't the answer!

Hello all,
Thought I’d open up a discussion in this community about the real effect of
the IANA IPv4 depletion, 12 months on from Feb 3, 2011 when the last /8’s
were handed to the RIRs. This topic was raised by Ahmed Abu-Abed below.
Any observations worth sharing?

Greetings,
As we approach the first anniversary of IANA depletion, I notice that
IPv6-transition discussion traffic has slowed down compared to the same
period last year.
For the benefit of everyone considering IPv6 migration, and especially to
encourage content providers to adopt IPv6, has anyone heard of or
documented real-life issues due to public IPv4 address shortage ? I imagine
Asia-Pac would be the first to see such impact with APNIC’s depletion 8
months ago, so cases from Asia-Pac over the past year would be good
examples.
All the best,
Ahmed Abu-Abed
