[AusNOG] Cheap Second Hand Cisco Q-in-Q Switch

Not sure how much second hand, but Cisco ME3400 would be a much better choice IMO - its designed as a WAN carrier Ethernet device rather than an access device.

2x copper, 2x dual purpose (SFP/copper) all gigE

Bonus: they route too with the correctly licensed firmware (cough cough).

I've regularly maxed them out @ 1G throughput no worries.

Subject: [AusNOG] Cheap Second Hand Cisco Q-in-Q Switch

Hi Noggers,

Just looking on eBay for a cheapo Cisco switch that supports Q-in-Q.

Does anyone know off hand what models of older, end of life Cisco switches support Q-in-Q?. My only must is that it runs IOS rather that CatOS. Also would prefer one that can take a couple of GigE ports or GBICs

Thanks!

-James
