Yes that's what my understandings were. Antenna's on devices are ok. Repeaters not ok.

High gain directional antennas connected directly to the device are OK.
Repeaters (boosters, amplifiers, etc etc), are not. They are apparently legal to sell, but are illegal to actually use.

Are there ant legal issues with doing this? I remember a while ago Telstra blaming nextg issues on pirate setups like what your referencing. They also said they would be taking action to shut them down.
I maybe wrong but that's what I thought the article was about.

Do you have mobile coverage outside of the site?
Have you considered a high gain directional antenna with an amplifier and indoor omni-directional antennas?
Powertec in QLD should have a solution for these situations.

We work on a site where we do not get mobile signal coverage from our telcos.
However we can deploy several Wi-fi APs throughout the building.
Is there workable solution where our users can use our Wi-fi Aps to receive and making calls?
