[AusNOG] [OFFTOPIC} by a long way - Where does one find snow?

Coming from FNQ - we have never seen snow.

We are looking at going from Canberra to Tumut
It has been suggested to see snow we need to go Canberra to cooma/ Jindy
then to Tumut

Is this what others would suggest?

Please reply offlist to this off the beaten track question.
