[AusNOG] ISP & Data Centre Providers policy? or practise connecting L3 switch instead of routers

Hi Everyone, 

 

Just wanted to know how our ISP's / Data Centre providers deal with a
customer using Layer2/3 switch (say a Cisco 3750 as a gateway), connecting
that directly to your access network but only doing routing.

 

Will you allow it or not? And why?
