[AusNOG] Nextgen Fiber cut in Perth

UECOMM/Optus in Sydney have been experiencing the same issue here in NSW, We have been down since around 1030am due to a cut at Ashfield which is impacting our VPLS handoff at Equinix which is backhauling from PoP's in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and even a fibre which is only 10KM away in Ultimo which has been down the entire time also.

Painful just painful . . Redundant handoff will be in the works for us.  I never thought I would say 'Thank God' to have redundant Soul services as each PoP.

Anyone else been impacted by this?

The SMC has given us an eta of 3PM which is over 5 hours of downtime (so far!)
