Or how two little capacitors can ruin your day. Glad to see the
signalling system is on a different WAN too as there are heaps of
offices on the main WAN.

Back in the day you could tell the main office LAN was not working when 
the collision light went off, but that was before switches were common
and they had Synoptics/Bay hubs.
