We appreciate the support you are providing in getting urgent messages to at-risk flood communities but alarmist messages are not assisting, this includes messages such as the Brisbane CBD being evacuated which is not the case.

Flooding is likely to worsen over the next few days, and we need the public to continue to have confidence in our warning systems.

We will continue to issue appropriate warnings, as needed, and we appreciate your continued assistance in helping us to issue these warnings.

Kind regards,

If you complete the suburb search there are not actual notifications.
IF they were going to turn off power they would put a notification as to why its off :D

There are currently no unplanned outages identified in Brisbane (Brisbane Nth), East Brisbane (Brisbane Sth), South Brisbane (Brisbane Sth) and Port of Brisbane (Brisbane East and Bay Islands).

Most data centres I know are prepared to deal with loss of mains anyway.
IF the mains are lost generators will kick in and you will be notified by your NOC / Upstream....

Which areas are losing power?

If we have gear in Brisbane CBD should we start preparing to lose mains power?

Regards,

Daniel
