[AusNOG] Granny just got shafted

Hi All,

The elderly, the infirm and the dying at Lifestyle SA's Forest Place retirement village have just been advised (at 4pm on a Friday) that their internet access will be revoked (and in the absence of any additional information, one assumes 'immediately').

The service has been in place for a year and you can only imagine the extent to which some residents are dependent on it.

Without prejudice to any party mentioned, I'm asking if anyone knows what's going on here and what the access situation is likely to be ongoing. I don't know if, or to what extent, this affects the other 10 or so villages.

Regards,
Alastair Waddell
