I personally would love to know what information needs to be held for 7 years.... I could see 3 years if you were building a factory and new ASIC's and a new software stack of
some super secret squirrel CPE , but that would best be done in the open with competition and standards....
So 7 years, any guesses as to why, lets assume they have a rational reason, not just some pathetic attempt to gag debate.
In 7 years most people would not even recognise the technologies involved. LTE will be a reality. There is a non-zero probability of all optical switching in chips.
