As an interested stakeholder in the industry, and stakeholder / participant in the APNIC policy development process I completed the survey.

I appreciate the efforts by APNIC to actively seek feedback, but it struck me as odd that at the end of the survey it asked for age and gender. Surely that isn't necessary? Do you really need trend information about the age and gender population responding to your survey!?! What value does that provide to the operational plan of APNIC?

I understand its good to get my name and email address so you can work out where to send my new iPad ;-)

But beyond that, those questions seem superfluous.

Cheers
Terry
