[AusNOG] Telstra and port 25 for iPhone outbound

Hi Noggers,
 
Can anyone tell me if Telstra blocks port 25 SMTP outbound on their 3G
network for iPhones ?
 
We have a client who claims Telstra says "the outbound email sending via
non-Telstra ISP is _not_ blocked for iPhones".
 
Our experience is that this is generally blocked for customers wanting
to send messages via their own ISP (ie: not using Telstra) and that we
need to configure mail.bigpond or similar as the outgoing SMTP service.
