Colleagues - the Wholesale Services working group at Communications 
Alliance has just released its wholesale service description for 
telephone services across the NBN. If you have an interest in using a 
POTS port on an NBN NTU (which will use an internal SIP stack to talk to 
your signalling gateway), or doing IP Telephony over the NBN in general, 
then I encourage you to have a look at this and please provide your 
feedback.

The draft /NBN Wholesale Service Description Framework - Telephony 
Access Service/ paper provides:

    * a framework for the definition of a Wholesale Telephony Access
      Service that may be available on the NBN and potentially by other
      Wholesale Telephony Access Service Providers.
    * a description of the key capabilities to be specified in the
      Wholesale Telephony Access Service.
