[AusNOG] TV Debate - New Zealand Internet Monitoring / Filtering

Hi All,

For those who know me here, will know that I live in Auckland and Melbourne.
In New Zealand there is a TV debate coming up on the Internet and filtering, which will be broadcast on TV7 and streamed on the internet so it could be viewed in Aus.

There's a lot of talk around internet filtering with Kiwis equally not keen for their transactions to be monitored / restricted in any way.
New Zealanders have a habit of actually being heard in parliament and generally don't tolerate forced compliance over their rights to freedom - a great benefit from living in a smaller country where it's very difficult to hide from scrutiny (in Australia people 'on the nose' just step down from their roles and find another job).
