I *really* don't mind setting up an ISP or VLAN for people that want to OPT in.

Even Jim Wallace.

I think it might be manageable.

Its never been about the content, it's about the control and accountability of those making the rules.

There is a sliding scale. Trust is on one end, Control is on the other.

Its OK to slide that scale. This is what the police are for. When you don't Trust someone any more after they've abused your trust, you put in place controls.

The reverse is true, too.

When you don't trust your government, there needs to be controls in place.

I.e. who watches the watchers?

There is greater potential for abuse and misuse by government with the filter in place than there is potential for abuse by the general population without it.

The greater good is therefore served by not implementing the filter.

It's clear cut.
