OK, so, Senator Conroy is delaying the compulsory, federal, internet censorship until AFTER the election so we're still going to get censored anyway, just not right now, but in the mean time Telstra, Optus and iPrimus are wrapped around his little finger? The ACMA list was flawed, why would anyone volunteer to use it?!

Filtered Internet for 70% of web users under government deal

...and Conroy doesn't trust internet companies anyway, so what are these three trying to prove?!

Have our Network Ops collectively decided on any one idea to unbrainwash the masses?

Apologies for replying to my own post but I've just been reading some more articles, and, this just gets better:

Gov't doesn't trust 'internet companies', says Conroy
goodgearguide.com.au/article/352624/gov_t_doesn_t_trust_internet_companies_says_conroy/

"The Federal Government doesn't trust large internet companies -- which he said were solely interested in profit -- to regulate their own sector, Communications Minister Stephen Conroy said yesterday in response to questions about the Government's mandatory internet filter policy."

OK, right now I'm sitting here wondering "wtf..."?!

and this...

Internet filter 'won't protect kids'

Maybe I missed the boat somewhere, which one of these is out of place:
democracy, "for the people", constitution, rights, internet censorship

PS: Sorry for format. Just upgraded to Outlook 2010 for multiple exchange access and new/stupid menu system is hampering my efforts to establish plain text preferences. Will fix.
