  Haven't kept up with this massive discussion today, so I might be 
repeating whats already been said but...

I'm afraid of the fact that most average people seem all too happy to 
hand over their freedoms, rights, and privacy, under the false belief it 
will somehow protect their children from terrorists/pedo's. Reminds me 
of that Family Guy ep where Louis runs for mayor - she just utters the 
words "9-11" and everyone supports her :p

Would the filter ban facebook? Probably not, no. Will pedo's use (well, 
continue to use I would imagine) facebook/myspace/etc... to prey on 
children? Most likely, yes.
