The RC laws in Australia, so far as I am aware, only dictate that you
cannot sell or place the product on exhibition within Australia. It's
not illegal to own said material.
And this is where I am confused - There is no indication as to where
exactly a person I breaking the law.
Conroy has already said that I will not be breaking the law if I bypass
the filter - I can only assume that I would be breaking the law by
viewing the content. But there is no real indication as to whether or
not it is illegal to view.
As MMC said earlier, "Content that is illegal to view/own/transmit (eg.
Child Porn)." obviously this is how things currently are - however if
the filter is deeming everything as RC than I now am legally able to
view/own/transmit Child Porn.
I hope I am making sense :)
