Not compared to what a sub-$1000 crypto card can do...  If you're
talking 10's of Mbps of SSL traffic then it's not overly relevant -
but if you're talking 100's of Mbps of traffic then the difference is
significant.

The generation-after-next of Intel chips is apparently going to
include crypto support on-chip which will make things very
interesting, although they still aren't going to come close to the
performance of an offload card.
