No budget specified, while the Patton boxes are ~$550 a unit I expect an 
increase in cost to get the additional feature set but do not have room 
to go nuts with cost.

This is why I believe there may be scope to continue using the Patton 
boxes (Or something equally as cheap such as the RAD RIC-E1) but put 
some smarts on the A end.
