I didn't say broadband prices would halve, I said capacity prices paid by
ISPs for international bandwidth would likely halve. This is quite
consistent with international experience.
By my estimates, the cost of international bandwidth accounts for about
10-15% of the total cost of an Internet service. I said it was likely that
if this halved, it would either mean a few dollars off end bills or more
likely, increased quotas.
The reporter has misunderstood this point and conflated it with end user
prices
I guess it's justice for someone like me to be misquoted hey?
