Hi Nick,
Thanks for the link, we use Quagga within Vyatta for route-refelctors and this sent us into routing hell from 10PM QLD time onwards.
Took us about an hour to figure out that it wasn't a deliberate network attack, that it must be a 4-byte issue then we started to figure out a work around.
Good luck to anyone else affected.

Quagga users need to take a look at mailing list post

regards to bgpd crashes as a result of 4 Byte ASN issues.
Despite the post advising the issue becoming apparent on April 30, this
has not only affected ourselves, but we know a number of other parties
over the last 6 hours, causing significant hell. A patch is available
from the above post.
