[AusNOG] TPG routing issues

Hi,

Had a call about one issue this morning (around 9:30am) in Melbourne
where a TPG customer could not ping a particular server (could reach
others on the network), could see the traffic coming in, and response
from the server going out over Pipe peering, routed traffic to the TGP
customer outbound over transit and then they could ping everything.

Have had this strange issue before in both Bne & Syd to TPG customers
but routing the individual IP onto transit always seems to work, not
best solution in the world but I know this work around is easy and saves
the customer bouncing back and forward with TPG claming there is no
issue :-)

Is anyone else having any weird issues like this?

Perhaps some one from the TPG NOC get in touch with me?

A number of our mutual customers (your DSL, our hosting customers - seem
to be Melbourne based) have been having issues getting to a number of
random IPs within our network.

Our support desk has been getting a continual stream of a 1-2 calls per
hour like this all day.

I also am unable to traceroute back to them from these specific IPs, but
others in the range work fine.
