[AusNOG] Equinix Outage

It is a great facility, especially with the new entrance and facilities.

But, yes, there have been a few power issues.... we had a board go out last year which took out some racks A+B, but I can't remember what caused it.

This is unfortunately one of those times that you find out if what you've built actually works.... and Equinix are going to have to explain what happened.

Current rumours are that they simply didn't have enough UPS for all the racks in some areas.... no sure of the exact facts at the moment.... I am hoping to find out, because if they know, they can fix it.

While Globalswitch rocks for many things, Equinix has it over GS in quite a few areas... wow, car parking!
