I think it's fair to say that Primus's out-of-band communications
yesterday let them down. I didn't receive any communication from them
until I got an SMS at about 8:30pm, long after power had been restored.
I was very grateful for PIPE, who were able to get timely information
about what was going on from Primus when no one else could, and quickly
relay this to their and Primus's customers.

That's why NOCs should always be equipped with a PSTN line (with a
'conventional' phone) and a mobile...
