Hi Oliver,
There is a Telstra exchange about 5k's away with a tower, but there is no room for extra infrastructure. There is another exchange about 20 or so K's away with space for infrastructure and we have a price for microwave from this location but I preferred the flexibility of fibre. We may go back to the microwave solution if I cannot find another way to solve the delays.

Not sure what your throughput requirements are, but have you considered
high speed point to point wireless such as Motorola PTP or Ceragon?
