On close inspection the IEC C13-C14 cable appears to be similar to a monitor
extension cable, so they can plug it into standard PDU's.

 

It doesn't look hardwired in the side of the chassis, there appears to be a
gland around it, and it's inserted prior to screwing (Or Velcroing ?) the
PSU in place.

 

My bad, I should have looked more closely.

The only thing unintuitive that I can see about the design is that the power
cord goes THROUGH  the server only to reconnect at the other side, and looks
hard wired in the side of the chassis.

 

The power supply shows 200-240Vac, so are we looking at an Australian
server?
