Hey all,
I've been asked (with very short notice) if I want to take on a
project in which has 10 camera's at each location - 2 of which are PTZ (Pan
Tilt Zoom), and all 10 recording footage to a server for 24-48 hours.
Cameras would be accessed remotely over private VLAN. Quality isn't a
massive requirement - 10-15fps should be enough.
There are two (2) locations that this setup would be required for.
I am considering my options, which are:
a) buy the kit myself and do it
b) rent the kit and do it myself
c) outsource the whole thing to someone else
who already has the equipment
I kind of have to give an answer to the client tomorrow by about
lunch, so anyone who has any interesting suggestions should contact me ASAP.
I know this might seem an odd list to post to, but I'm sure some of
you guys use hardware/software to monitor datacentres/etc and might be able
to make some suggestions of kit, or might even know someone who specialises
in just this kind of thing.
