Hey all,

Cisco have asked me to pass this onto the ISP mailing lists to let you
guys know some details about a briefing they are having on the 29th of
November in Sydney (Next week). I had a brief overview of the equipment the
other day and it is very impressive and seriously worth considering if you
are having issues constraining your users in how much bandwidth they use -
more importantly, what kind of bandwidth they use.

I wouldn't normally post this sort of thing, but considering the ISP
landscape with ADSL2/2+, Telstra's ADSL-8 and other high-speed technologies,
and what this product can actually do, I offered to help them out a bit.

networks.

Cisco has developed a series of breakfast information sessions focusing on
current issues faced by the Service Provider industry. The breakfast
sessions will be delivered by Senior Cisco Engineers & overseas experts
where possible to bring together a regular format of Service Provider
technical updates.

These sessions will provide a great vehicle for network managers, product
management & senior engineers to keep abreast of where the industry is
heading and understand how Cisco can help Service Providers differentiate
themselves to customers.

Cisco believes that subscriber and traffic management will enhance an SP's
offering to its customers and help maintain and build customer loyalty. This
will not only help drive growth but provide long term sustainability for all
service providers.

A Cisco Consulting Systems Engineer will be delivering an in depth
presentation on Broadband and Subscriber management , this presentation will
take approximately 90 minutes reviewing the following topics:

*	The current ISP landscape and business challenges faced by Service
Providers
*	How to balance the constant challenge of minimizing operational cost
whilst differentiating your service offering to customers to increase
revenue.
*	The end user experience. How do ISP's offer a consistent experience
for all customers yet manage the traffic, examine behavioral patterns of
users & what's carried on the network? Have you optimized your network
investment?
*	Billing implications and variables available to Service providers
