<p>Well I certainly wouldn't have 7 of them around my house if I had
to buy them with advertising like that.......</p>
<p>Mind you I didn't buy mine to begin with. :P</p>
<p>The whole "listening all the time" bit isn't really all that
accurate since it's just got a small looping buffer of audio to
catch the wake word.<br>
All of that is done entirely on device and that's trivial to
verify by watching network traffic.<br>
And they've been adding additional controls for sensitivity and
managing the recordings which is nice.<br>
There's always the mic off switch if you get really paranoid.<br>
