The disappearance of .au is supposed to be unthinkable, and yet it was apparently pretty widespread.<br>
<br>
This probably isn't the right forum for it, but I hope there's a proper investigation into what went wrong. It's hard to think of many failures that are more fundamental to the utility of the Internet than the arbitrary disappearance of TLDs.<br>

Does anyone definitively know what happened?<br>
