<p>Pitt Street and Chatswood are two of the most integral exchanges in the country for Telstra with a lot of there core routing, switching etc housed here.</p>

<p>I'd say the increased load on the network from the Chats issue is likely a large part of the problem. Services trying to re-established, lowered switching capacity and so on</p>

interconnects at that exchange. So yeah, perhaps not so much that the <br>
service is down but more that certain destinations are unreachable?<br>
