    for refusing to port a number.<br>

    YOU as the consumer, shouldn't have to do anything except to say to
    NEW provider "Here's number, heres account number, please port", the
    NEW provider should be doing the requests/talking with Telstra in
    regards to porting that number over. Is this the process your
    having?<br>

    If it is currently DOT then that can be delivered via PSTN i believe
    - and if it is an NBN area and the numbers already been listed as
    pending disconnect you may need to get it converted to an EBD
    service first (have had to do a few of these annoyingly), but again
    this should be a fairly pain-free procedure.<br>

                  have been trying to port a PSTN number from Telstra to
                  our VOIP for weeks, the problem is that as it’s in an
                  NBN disconnection area NBN have marked it as pending
                  disconnection so the VOIP carrier isn’t able port it,
                  it’s really a nightmare when NBN is involved with
                  anything.</span></p>

                process moving to RAN verification it shouldn't have any
                problems. You put the application to the new provider
                and provide the account number that is on the invoice
                that Telstra bill you for the service on. What reasons
                have they given to deny this process? They shouldn't
                realistically have a say in the matter.</p>
