<p><span style="color:black">Where a branch site CPE (Vendor agnostic) attached to an NBN tail is configured for DHCP IP helper back to a central site the functionality does not work.  <u></u><u></u></span></p>

<p><span style="color:black">* The DHCP DISCOVER is correctly forwarded by the CPE to the NTD UNI-D port, received by BNG at the head end and forwarded onwards to the central DHCP server.

<p><span style="color:black">* The central DHCP server responds with an OFFER, the OFFER is pushed to the NBN NNI by the BNG for the appropriate AVC but the OFFER never pops out at the NTD UNI-D port facing the CPE.

<p><span style="color:black">* The loss of DHCP OFFER occurs even when the DHCP packet is encapsulated in another intermediate protocol such as PPPoE..<u></u><u></u></span></p>

<p><span style="color:black">A new revision of firmware has been tested successfully and the information I have at hand suggests a national rollout will begin around Feb 8.
