From a hobbyist's perspective. I'v been toying with the idea to
utilize an Arduno board with a GPS & Network shield and write
or adapt some S/NTP code.. Should be do-able for around $100(less
on ebay!), but time and effort on the code will be the painful
bit..<br>

As reported on Slashdot there have been observances of GPS time error in the last 24 hrs (during Australia Day holiday here). Wondering if any noggers have seen any alarms on your GPS receiver time sources in the last 24 hours?

As an adjunct question, what sort of hardware are you using for your NTP
stratum 1 sources (GPS, atomic, whatever), and are there any which are
in the affordable range for the hobbyist?
