We have around 174 data centres in Australia and 250+ providers. We have also built the <b>“Top 10"</b> ranking system in which <b>Equinix</b> and <b>NEXTDC</b> feature strongly in the DC space and <b>Vocus, PIPE, IX Australia, Megaport</b> and <b>Superloop</b> feature well.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://www.cloudscene.com/">https://www.cloudscene.com/</a></div><div><br></div><div>Some current gaps we are looking to fill is with the following:</div><div><br></div><div>Service Providers in Australia</div><div>Telstra, Optus, TPG/AAPT and Nextgen</div><div><br></div><div>Data Centres </div><div>Macquarie, Global Switch (providers within other provider spaces such as Harbour MSP, PIPE etc.), iSeek and Fujitsu North Ryde</div><div><br></div><div>We are about to push this “live” in the new skin and user interface in September. There is more data than you can see here but this is just for data validation purposes between facilities and providers (in terms of DC technical data is old/stale not to be referenced). If you are a Service Provider that provides services in these facilities and there is data that is not accurate (add, deletions) then please email <b>update@cloudscene.com</b> with any adds/moves. In September account holders for providers will be authorise to take control of the account and will also cross-validate the information presented.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for your help.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers</div><div><br></div><div>[b]</div><div><br></div><div>PS: At the end of the day we will only be presenting information that can be validated. So if a provider does not want to be listed, then they will not show up, nor be included in the rankings.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><span id="OLK_SRC_BODY_SECTION"><div style="font-family:Calibri; font-size:11pt; text-align:left; color:black; BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0in; PADDING-LEFT: 0in; PADDING-RIGHT: 0in; BORDER-TOP: #b5c4df 1pt solid; BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; PADDING-TOP: 3pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">From: </span> Bevan Slattery <<a href="mailto:bevan@slattery.net.au">bevan@slattery.net.au</a>><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Date: </span> Saturday, 31 January 2015 2:55 pm<br><span style="font-weight:bold">To: </span> "<a href="mailto:ausnog@ausnog.net">ausnog@ausnog.net</a>" <<a href="mailto:ausnog@ausnog.net">ausnog@ausnog.net</a>><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Subject: </span> Help Wanted - Cloudscene<br></div><div><br></div><div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><div>Hi all,</div><div><br></div><div>Over the past year I have been a bit frustrated regarding the lack of centralised info on DC’s and providers – and so it appears has Skeeve :). peeringdb.com is awesome but only for peering and has some gaps in data etc.</div><div><br></div><div>I have been working on a personal side project to help create a simple directory of cloud enablers/providers (i.e. Networks, Cloud providers, DC’s, fabrics etc.)’. Kind of like the great work Kim Davies did in the "Cynosure” www.cynosure.com.au days (now gone :(). The site is called Cloudscene and can be found at <a href="http://www.cloudscene.com">http://www.cloudscene.com</a> .</div><div><br></div><div>Over the past 4 months we have had a few people work on this with particular focus on Australia/Asia, however we ended up having to go global due to providers and listings. What we are seeking is the help of the Australian Internet Community to make this more meaningful.</div><div><br></div><div>In a few weeks time we will be providing people the ability to take ownership of their account/information. However, we also appreciate that to get this up to speed it will initially probably be easier to just do bulk uploads/entry. Happy to take the information from people in whatever the easiest way for people to provide (eg. spreadsheet).</div><div><br></div><div>HOW?</div><div><br></div><div>Just email <b><a href="mailto:update@cloudscene.com">update@cloudscene.com</a></b></div><div><br></div><div><b>Data Centre Operators</b></div><div>If the facility is not listed just email information about the facility (and links to product brochures if you can). If it is listed and you would like to update the providers offering services within the facility then simply send us a list of providers that <u>offer services via with a PoP in the facility.</u></div><div><br></div><div><b>Network/Service Providers</b></div><div>So for example if you have a presence in a facility (must be able to offer services from your own infrastructure within the DC) just send us a list of DC’s you have PoP’s in. If you are able to provide as much information that would be terrific (including products and contact details).</div><div><br></div><div>At this stage we are listing results from queries based on relevance/number of providers so facilities with more providers (more relevant) feature higher. Of course you can click on any column to change the sort criteria. There will be some rapid deployment of information happening including fabrics (IX and elastic) which are in but not fully wired and cloud providers (IaaS, PaaS etc.) over the next few weeks. Also additional criteria for providers is almost completed to help people specify the types of services they provide. But one step at a time :)</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, this is just a demo with a subset of data at present. Just hoping to put together a useful resource for the industry and any assistance to flesh this out further is greatly appreciated. Feedback is also welcome at <a href="mailto:feedback@cloudscene.com">feedback@cloudscene.com</a></div><div><br></div><div>Cheers and thank you.</div><div><br></div><div>[b]</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div></span></body></html>
