<p class="MsoNormal">I’m curious on feedback from the industry on how everyone would expect a carrier to calculate 95<sup>th</sup> usage over a multiple link transit product.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Client takes 2 or more Transit Ports with a provider for redundancy reasons or for whatever reason they want – ie split backbone.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Ie ports at 2 or more different locations for whatever reason.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">They would like to buy 95<sup>th</sup> percentile transit – bundled over multiple ports.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For this scenario - Let’s say they want to commit to 500Mb/sec of transit split over 2x 1Gig ports and pay an excess for anything over 500Mb/sec<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Would you assume the provider :<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Aggregates the 2x Links usage figures for the month and then perform 95<sup>th</sup> on the totals

<p class="MsoNormal">Pick the highest of the upload or the download as the top figure. Bill excess if over 500<o:p></o:p></p>
