    Just to put some numbers to this<br>

    there are ~380 onion growers<br>
    They pay $4 per tonne to the org, (production cost of a tonne is
    ~$361)<br>
    
    gross value of production per annum $181M so they make 501385 tonnes
    of onions give or take<br>
    So they are netting $2M to run their industry body.<br>
