<div dir="ltr">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I'm wondering what devices people are seeing on the market in Australia that are capable of supporting Netflix, Stan, Presto - or understand what platforms the unreleased ones may support.</div><div><br></div><div>I've used Netflix at home for a long time on my Roku3 that I got from the US and it works fine.... but I don't think it is for sale here yet.... same with many of the options out there.</div><div><br></div><div>So... with Netflix and Stan coming in a couple of months - even just as IT geeks that friends ask - what are we going to tell them to buy?</div><div><br></div><div>Thoughts: (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Netflix_compatible_devices">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Netflix_compatible_devices</a>)</div><div><br></div><div>- Chromecast + Smartphone App.... YaD (Yet another Device).... but it should work ok I assume?</div><div><br></div><div>- Game Consoles - Expensive if you don't already have one</div><div><br></div><div>- Internet Connected TV's - Expensive if you don't already have one</div><div><br></div><div>- Internet Connected BluRay Players - not exactly smooth in my experience.</div><div><br></div><div>- AppleTV apparently supports Netflix</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Stand says they will support mobile devices, ChromeCast and AirPlay... but they are sucky options in my opinion. With an Android set-top-box perhaps the Android App might be a solution.... but what mainstream STB is Android and allows apps to be installed?</div><div><br></div><div>Presto is much the same, except they say they will support Samsung Apps... not sure what that means though.</div><div><br></div><div>I don't see much STB support out there being talked about... any experience?</div><div><br></div><div><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><font color="#002060" style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><font color="#1F497D" face="Calibri,sans-serif" size="3"><p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;font-family:Calibri;color:rgb(32,73,125)"><br>...Skeeve</p><p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;font-family:Calibri;color:rgb(32,73,125)"><br>--</p><p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;font-family:Calibri;color:rgb(32,73,125)">Skeeve Stevens - <span style="font-size:12.8000001907349px">The ISP Guy</span></p></font></font><font color="#002060" style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><font color="#1F497D" face="Calibri,sans-serif" size="3"><p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;font-family:Calibri;color:rgb(32,73,125)">Email: <a href="mailto:skeeve@theispguy.com" target="_blank">skeeve@theispguy.com</a> ; <span style="font-size:12.8000001907349px">Twitter: </span><a href="https://twitter.com/TheISPGuy" style="font-size:12.8000001907349px" target="_blank">@TheISPGuy</a></p></font></font><div style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><span style="font-size:12.8000001907349px;color:rgb(32,73,125);font-family:Calibri">Blog: <a href="http://theispguy.com/" target="_blank">TheISPGuy.com</a> ; Facebook: </span><font color="#20497d" face="Calibri"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/theispguy" target="_blank">TheISPGuy</a></font><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><font color="#002060"><font color="#1F497D" face="Calibri,sans-serif" size="3"><p style="margin:0px;font-size:13px;font-family:Calibri;color:rgb(32,73,125)">Linkedin: <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/skeeve" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">/in/skeeve</a> ; <span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Expert360: </span><a href="https://expert360.com/profile/d54a9" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">Profile</a></p></font></font></div><div><blockquote type="cite" style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><div style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"><div style="font-size:12.8000001907349px"></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></blockquote></div></div></div></div></div></div>
